News From Your Senior Regent – January 2022

Happy New Year!

It was so good seeing so many of you at our New Years’ Eve celebration and it is amazing how fast the year went by. Many of us set goals for the new year and I encourage you to set a goal to sponsor at least one new member into our organization. In May we will be having a preferred member party for those of you who have done just that and have done this before it is a lot of fun that you won’t want to miss.

Brian and I were able to attend tree lighting at Mooseheart in December and as always it renewed my spirit of why we do what we do. We are also planning to attend their graduation ceremony on June 4th as well and if possible, I encourage you to attend this momentous occasion. These kids are so grateful for all that we do, and it truly makes you proud to see them receive that diploma.

Congratulations to Dorothy Thomson for being chosen as our December volunteer of the month. Recently I was able to work alongside this amazing lady and it was heartwarming to see her love for the moose in action.

Thank you also to Mary Jane Ewens, Bonnie Price, the higher degree committee, and those of you who baked cookies for a successful cookie sale totaling 1,889.00!

Our big event in January is going to be our community baby shower on January 16th from 12 – 3. This is to help out new and expecting mothers who might be struggling in these trying times.

In closing, I would like to thank you for your encouraging thoughts, helpful deeds, and prayers as we finish out our chapter year strong. Speaking of which if you or someone you know might be interested in serving as an officer let one of us know! Nomination and elections are just around the corner!

Sincerely, Rose Mifflin – Sr. Regent
