The Kenosha Moose Lodge #286 would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in our upcoming fundraiser. We had so much fun last year that we are holding our 3rd annual Moosefest event again on June 21 thru 23, 2019. The event will feature music, food and drink, and family fun. A Quarter Auction is scheduled for Sunday, June 23 and bingo on Saturday, June 22. Moosefest is open to the public.

We are a local lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose fraternal and service organization(501c3). Our roots can be traced to 1888 and the founder of the Moose, Dr. Henry Wilson, who successfully established the first Lodge in Louisville, Kentucky. In the early years, the Moose was to serve a modest goal of offering men an opportunity to gather socially, to care for one another’s needs and celebrate life together.

Since those early years, our fraternal organization rapidly expanded to include valuable service to our communities, care for children and teens in need at Mooseheart Child City & School, a 1,000-acre campus, located 40 miles west of Chicago and care for our senior members at Moosehaven, a 70-acre retirement community near Jacksonville, Florida.

The Kenosha Moose works locally to support many organizations as well. We provide “Tommy Moose” dolls to law enforcement to help ease children in times of stress. We support an organization called “Safe Surfin’ Foundation” that works to bring public awareness for the need for Internet safety education programs. We provide financial support to many local organizations. We also work with local organizations in their fundraising efforts, providing the facilities to hold their events. Net proceeds from Moosefest will be going to Mooseheart, Moosehaven, and to aid us in supporting organizations in the area.
