Administrator’s Corner – April 2021

It’s a true honor to be “penning” my first “Administrator’s Corner”! I’m humbled to be chosen to succeed Rich Smart and his many years of service to the Lodge. The shoes I am filling are huge and it will take time to even come
close to fill them. Your patience with me is truly appreciated.

We got off to a rocky start, as our office computer literally died on my second day. A special thank you to Brian Mifflin for his ability to switch computers and reload our backed-up information. In the long run, we will be better off with the newer computer and operating system. I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank Joe Matteucci for getting me out of a “tapper bind” that I created myself! Needless to say, I’ll never make that mistake again. I also want to thank the Board for giving me this opportunity, as well as thank many of you for the words of encouragement as I venture into quite an ominous-looking task of being your Administrator. Now, having said all that, I want to put the spotlight on someone who is truly the glue that holds the whole operation together, Kim Schneider. Without Kim, this transition would literally be impossible. Thank you Kim for all you do behind the scenes for the Lodge!

My promise to you, the member, is to do my very best to make your experience at the Lodge, and your membership as a whole, well worth the investment you’ve made. We have plenty of new ideas and look forward to implementing them over time.

Please do not hesitate to offer up suggestions and wants, as we will consider them all. See you in the Social Quarters!

Fraternally yours, Administrator Dave Strash
